Quantitative Risk Assessment of Complex Systems
The complexity, the severe consequences, the huge costs and the relative scarcity of catastrophic failures do not permit a standard approach, according to which improvements and relative measures could evolve only by analyzing past experience (real facts) or experiments. The probabilistic analysis and risk assessment approach can simulate and calculate all possible consequences, and all event sequences that lead to those consequences and the probability of their appearance.
SRISL has significant contribution on the development of methodologies for the quantified risk assessment of accidents at the workplace, with application on a great variety of different types of accidents.
